Head of People & Culture

You will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of Wushu Studios by developing a unique culture and creating a fantastic employee experience. The role will have both strategic and operational focus utilising strong HR generalist skills and a collaborative mindset to deliver on a variety of initiatives that reflect our values.

The successful applicant will be an experienced HR professional who enjoys managing projects, processes, and people.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on shaping and implementing organisational culture and processes
  • Help create a diverse and inclusive work environment, collaborating with cross functional teams to better achieve departmental goals
  • Develop a people focused strategy to drive employee engagement, capability, and performance
  • Provide professional HR support and direction to onsite and remote teams, on all people related matters
  • Review all areas of the People & Culture remit and make recommendations for improvements to reflect a forward-thinking workplace
  • Implement a range of employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Oversee the appraisal process, people development and succession planning initiatives to ensure our team members can expand upon their knowledge and grow a career at Wushu Studios
  • Enable a positive employee experience at key points along the employee lifecycle, such as onboarding, wellbeing, promotion, offboarding gathering feedback and insights for continuous improvement

Qualifications
  • Minimum of level 5 CIPD or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Previous experience of working in a senior HR role, ideally within a tech or creative environment
  • Demonstrated success in creating and driving creative initiatives, building people processes and streamlining them across the business
  • Very organised, self-motivated with a strong capacity to recognise priorities, whilst being process oriented
  • A natural people leader and a strong team player with a collaborative style
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and change management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
